Third video english

Changes for your study program

Dear bloggers,

My mayor need many thing for change, because the study program is new, professors call innovated curriculum, but I think is rather like an improvised curriculum, actually, the first generation,  second (my generation), and  third (mechones), are really different, I think whit the lasts generations teachers are more exigent, they include more topics, and are less flexible, because the firsts are their Guinea pigs, so they allow more things, like change evaluations or test, or whatever. Other thing, that was unfair is that we were two weeks in toma and now we must to do exams until December 30, and the last year we were one and a half month in toma and the academic year also finish in the same date.

About workload, it´s too much, dentistry is a very stressful career, I think is more stressful than medicine, because the last one it´s just theoretical knowledge and we have also practice knowledge, and our fatigue it´s not only mental (for all the things that we should learn), it´s also physical because we should work four days a week in the laboratory, it´s exhausting and requires much concentration.

About faculty, I think it´s ok, it´s small but is nice, other faculties are very old and even spookiest, I like bathrooms are usually clean and have toilet paper (it´s an important thing), only I change coffee shop food, because are expensive and is not enough. The library becomes small in exams periods but it´s ok the rest of the time.

Summer plan

Dear Bloggers,

My summer plans for these holydays 2016-2017, are first, when I finish all the things in the university, work in a market or whatever, I need money for the year because the materials are very expensive, other things that I want to do is paint my house because my living are too pink, so I want to paint it mustard or Damascus. Maybe I´m going to go to TCO, it is communitarians works of dentistry in small localities or towns, but I´m not sure to go, because I need work.

So perhaps I will not go to any place outside of Santiago. I hope to see my mother and sister in the summer because I don´t live with theirs. Also, I want to do sports, maybe ride a bike. I want to go to mass in the week. Other important things for doing is record a CD (a craft recording) with my songs (yes, I´m a singer-songwriter), I have a idea for do a craft recording in layers (like the professional recording) with a common tape recorder, maybe you are think about what kind of music I play?, catholic of course, that what´s my heart feels, actually when I´m sad, and want to feel worse, I listen whatever other than catholic music.

This picture was taken when arrive to Chile a Brazilian Missionary , her name is Michelle, she cames for a days, because her mission was in Argentina, but the others missionaries were chileans so they needed meet in Chile, and due to I´m a curious person, I´m went to knows her, my father and me bring her to know different catholics places, we went to National´s Maipú sanctuary (ex Templo Votivo) in this place we meet with other missionaries, also went to Sanctuary of our Lady of Lourdes known like gruta de lourdes, this Sanctuary is not only in Chile, the original sanctuary is in France. 

We also went to Viluco or Belluco, it´s the same, it is a small town near of Buin, in this place live a friend of my father, she is a ex-nun, currently, she is a consecrated lay (it´s almost the same) and she care for her mother ( the lady have ninety years old), this friend speak with her neighbour who is in charge of a vineyard for can get in and show the place to the brazilian, and then we taken the photograph. We came to here because in this place also have one of the church most old of Chile, in this church workers to the vineyard cames to mass, but now was close because is really old, but the owner want to fix it and open for visitants, since actually the mansion and the church are abandoned.

Well this is the history of this picture, the vineyard was really big and the day was windy.

English language challenges

Dear bloggers,

 I want to talk you about my experience a learning english in my fourth semester. This experience have been so relaxing, even I forgot other subjects, especially writing  bloggs. Also, I have learned others english words, and the opinion of my classmates of different topics reading their posts and talking with they in class. I think to write bloggs helped me to get better writing skills, such as redaction, vocabulary, comprehension, and others. With this course I improved my english level.

I think to post bloggs and talk with parners are entertaining ways to practice english. About bloggs, I have to say the topics in general were fine, the posts were shorts (no more of 200 words), so it were not spend so much time.

Despiste I improve my english writting, I´m think I´m not good speaking english, although people can understand me, so I need to improve this yet, but well, I´m happy to finish this course.

Saying the truth, I´m not to use english very much in my daily live, because I´m very rooted to my latin origins, I use English for university, when I need to read som paper or ... yeah for this. 

But maybe in the future I use more English if I going to do some investigation, perhaps I need English for write a abstract.

But with this course I´m more willing to read things or see videos whitout subtitles, now, I´m not avided these situations.

Post grade studies

Hi dears bloggers,
In this oportunity I want to talk about some post-graduate courses that I would like to study when I finish my pregrade studies. If I study something more, It will be when I work like a dentist, in a far future, since in this moment I am very tired for study more, so I prefer enjoy the life before to continue some postgrade, but I know that find job is more dificult today than in the past, so I will study something for actualize my knowledge. I like a lot of post-graduate courses, I like so much specialties in dentistry, such as odontopediatrics, orthodontics, public health and oral rehab. I would explain these specialties. First, I will explain you odontopediatrics, this is a really interesting specialty for me, due to you working with children, obviously I like them, because the children are very sweet, although not all them, and they are unquites the most of the time, other complication is the small teeth this mean that the operatory field is reduced.

Orthodontics is a popular specialty, many dentists want to be orthodontists, so It is hard get a scholarship, despite of this, I like orthodontics because the changes with it in some cases is so big that also affects the face. The result of this work can be really important for the pacient, It can be improve their self-esteem.




Public Health is a speciality for learn how manage public health centers, like CESFAM, SAPU, and others.
Oral rehab is oriented to rehablitating the oral cavity with plaques, also it can rehabilitate other structures of the head and neck, these are called somato prosthesis.
 I would study this specialties or other courses in the university of Chile because it is one of the best universities of the country, but if I can´t study here, I will study in a private university. These specialties are imparted face-to-face.
